I just noticed they're listing the KO2's in 255/75R17

At 46 pounds each, are they worth it over the 38 pound Cooper A/TW's?

The 3-ply sidewall would be a definite plus over the 38 pound Cooper A/TW's. I'm currently running GY Silent Armors stock size with supposedly a reinforced 2 ply sidewall. For going off road even on moderately rocky trails, I'd want strong sidewalls. Definitely would consider the BF Goodrich All-Terrain 255/75x17 or Goodyear Wrangler MT (3 ply sidewall) when it comes time for replacement.

Rubicon comes stock with Goodrich KM2's at 46 lbs. I guess the weight is engineered in - axles, wheels, bearings, etc. 8 lbs/corner = 32 lbs additional overall unsprung weight x 10 (I think) = 320 effective overall - like carrying a NFL linebacker around with you as a passenger. I'd say do it - it's a Wrangler, even if a DD, and going off road even if not often, a punctured sidewall is not a whole lot of fun. FWIW, beach running here in South Texas, I've heard of guys getting sidewall cuts by broken shells when running factory tires.

Ko2 in d rated 34x10.5-17 weigh an actual 52lbs so essentially the same as stock rubicon tires. In day to day driving I feel no difference between these and my 75 lb toyo tires. Auto jkur with 4.10. It is easy for me to switch back and forth but I rarely run the ko2s. I am not auto crossing so my seat of the pants feel tells me the toyos feel just as good running around.

Thing that bothers me is that BFG doesn't have this size listed on their website.

Edit: I spoke way too soon. BFG has them now listed on their website but without a price. Discount also has them listed. I literally checked BFG KO2 sizes last week and didn't see 255/75/17, but I can't say I'm disappointed
