The all new BFG T/A KO2 is coming.. (First sizes should hit our inventory Nov. 2014)
We had a chance to test the tire in Baja Mexico for a few days earlier this week. Before we share our experience, we want to hear your initial thoughts. What do you think?
I was going to hop on the duratrac bandwagon. But since finding these I am desperately waiting to buy them. I have ran duratracs and many BFG tires and I love BFG. I am getting them the day they come out.
hard to say what my initial thoughts are as I have not heard any real reviews. they do appear to be round and black and made of rubber. My guess is they will eventually wear out as most tires do......
to do what you want? .... patience and do it right once.
those 34x10.50x17 ATs are worth the wait. I love tall & skinny. And my last set of 33x9.50x15 ATs lasted forever. 6 years, maybe 80K miles... and not bald when I sold the YJ.
Do they run true to size? I am considering switching to an AT from my BFG KM2s. My advertised 37s are literally 36s brand new. Kind of BS. If they are a true 37" I will be very tempted to run these as my next tire.
I want a set. Will you stock all the sizes on the BFG website for this tire (it's only a handful)? I'd rather not wait till next year if I don't have to.
Damn hope that's not accurate. Need new tires now, and waiting till November was pushing it. Need to confirm these tire sizes are all that's available.
I'll gladly test them out for you. Discount Tire haha, but really I am keeping my eyes open on these. I really wish there was a way to try tires. They are expensive and it would be crappy to buy them and hate them.
Well local dealer confirmed that they are only releasing 12 sizes to start. Current KO has 53 sizes but plans are for a total of 61 sizes in the KO2.
What makes me laugh is their ads show Jeeps, yet the first round of tires do not include any 17" tires. Sorry BFG fail. I've been holding out for these for a while now. Guess I'm back to the drawing board looking at Duratrac and ST/MAXX now. Trying to make it to November was pushing my old tires, but no way can I go till January or March.
You can see the tire on a Jeep, but you can't buy that tire for your Jeep.
Did you notice how they just removed the plastic front bumper cover to give a better view of the tires? Funny, at first glance I thought it was an aftermarket bumper.
I don't see a whole lot of difference over the original A/T minus a fancier sidewall. hopefully they didn't screw up these tire like they did going from the original MT to the KM2
Bit more details from tirebusiness.com "The new line — the successor to the T/A KO — will hit dealers’ showrooms this November in a dozen sizes. They will be followed in 2015 by 13 more sizes in the spring and 31 by fall..."
UPDATE: Like noted earlier, BFG will release their new All-Terrain T/A KO2 in two phases. Phase one(1) is scheduled for November 2014 and phase two(2) is scheduled for March and April 2015.
In other news, BFG dropped a new All-Terrain T/A KO2 tire from 10,000 feet and drove away on it. Guess the spot on Playground Earth it hit and you could win a set for yourself.

Just ordered the 275/70r17 today, and am going to be putting them on my stock Rubicon wheels. Should have them on the first shipment, expect to have the first of November.
