You should be able to do either one. My buddy put 31s on his...and a while back I had 32's on mine. They will rub a little with the wheel turned all the way though.

I have Bfg ATs 31's x10.5x 15 this is my third set. I have never had an issue with them rubbing-have heard that some people do though. Think most of them are all right. Good Luck!!

This is my 3rd set average about 50k miles per set-I have had no problems. I thought the stock wheels were 8" wide?

IDK it has just worked for me. Mine came stock with 30"s.

Depends on which wheels are your "stock" wheels.... They came stock with several options for wheels. Some are 7", some are 8".... In either case a 10.5 will be fine....

Hm...makes me wonder what's on the TJ, I know is has 31's on it with 15" rims. I'll bet they are 7" wide rims, and it's a stock TJ sport.

Looking at his profile they are Grizzlies, which are 7" wide, iirc.

If you mean your Jeep, the wheels in your profile are Canyons which are 8" wide....

I assume you mean the 16" Moabs from a TJ Rubicon, not sure how wide they are, but they will be stamped somewhere inside the rim.....

I have 33 X 12.50 15s on a set of factory wheels from around 90 or 91 (the kind that are alloy with JEEP imprinted). They work great with 1.5" wheel spacers. The spacers are necessary because most factory wheels have little or no positive off-set.

All you need is a couple of washers on the steering stops to stop the rubbing at full lock....

Edit: Make sure you get the www.treadlightly.org rebate..... $100

Salman, You are gonna be impressed with the Dura Tracs. Those are the tires I am running and so far they kick it in mud, rocks and hill climbing. Oh and they are ultra-smooth on the highway!

The stock Rubi wheels are 16"X8", and tire cross section 10.5" will work with either 7" or 8". I ran 33's on my rubi's, rubbed, got tired of rubbing and went with new wheels eventually. The problem that most people hve, is when they upgrade tire sizes, the backspacing of the wheels will hurt you just as much. The rubicon wheels have a backspacing of 5". If you rub I would take the recomendation of washers behind the stop studs on your spindle assembly. Worked for me until I bought new wheels and then took the washers back out.
