Bigger tires then i need!

Ok so I have 33s on my jeep yj and the speedometer is off by 10 miles. What mean is that when it says I'm going 25 mph, I'm really going 35mph! Can someone give me some ideas on how to fix this problem bc I don't to pay for speeding tickets or even get any.

I have 33" on my TJ and my speedo is only off by about 10%, so 50 mph on the speedo is really 55.

You can by a new speedo gear. Google "jeep speedometer gear change", or something similar and you will find instructions for changing and what size to get.

x2... You're probably only off by 10mph at 65 or so... Run with a GPS to verify how far from true you are. Then upgrade the speedo gear to your correct gear to make the odo/speedo accurate. This is assuming YJ's are the same as TJ's in that respect... Idk for sure about YJ speedo gears..
