go with 35's pretty much the same price! If you have a rear D44 then just deal with the mpgs until you can regear! Plus 35s are Bad a$$. I'm obviously assuming you have enough lift lol

Ass*u*me*ing I had enough lift... I'm running 2.5" OME and 1.25" JKS body lift, that equals 33" Max with just enough room to flex.

Road noise isn't what you'd expect from such an aggressive tire. Yes, they are noticeable, but no, they aren't too loud on the highway. They have a pleasant hum but that's it.

what about the Kumho Venture MT KL71's? they are an aggressive tire that has good manners on and off road. my hubby has them on his commander and gives them rave reviews. plus, i am pretty sure they are cheaper than bfg's.

Try the General Grabber AT2's. $135 each on TireRack. I don't know about availbility though, they sometimes are hard to get, too. They are a very comparable tire to the BFG's.

Hold out for the Km2's if you can. They are a great tire.
or pick up some TSL's.

Most specialty tires you are going to see on back order. There was a rubber strike and a lot of tires are slowing down production. Prices are going to be climbing over the next several months.

Thanks for all the good tire options.

I called BFG direct this afternoon to get the true scoop on the KM2's. I told the nice lady that answered that I was interested in a set of KM2s in 33x10.5 15, but they were on national backorder. I inquired about when they might be available again. She put me on hold for a minute or two, and came back with good news. They are starting a new run on the KM2's that will last roughly a month. Within 2-3 weeks or so (she would not comit to a specific date, but gave the estimate) they should be hitting the tire stores and become available again.

I'll wait for the KM2's since they were my first choice in a tire, and I've still got 10-15k miles left on my current set of tires.

I called BFG yesterday also and and got mad and talked to a mangaer of production. I have been waiting on 1 33/12.50/15 for 4 months. They told me that they have started making them but they won't get shipped out until next week. The problem is the shippment is only going to wholesale clubs like BJ's, Sam's, Costco. So I called them to put one on hold and they tell me they aren't going to carry them or order any. I have a brand new set of 4 that I am selling because i can't buy the fifth.

My buddy got the MTR'S With Kevlar, 33x12.5x15, took me for a ride not loud smooth ride...I'm going to get them..I have the MTR'S Old style and love them, I was thinking about the KM2'S, but i heard the rubber is to soft and will burn up on the pavement, any truth to that..

Dude.. get some Federal Couragia M/T's. I've heard nothing but good things and they look awesome. Plus they are cheaper.

P.s. I ran a set of Firestone Destination M/T's for 3 years and they still had tread when I replaced them, but they're a bit pricey...
