First of all I wanted to say Hi. This is a great site. I have been doing a lot of reading and it has really helped in my decision to get the JKUR. Picking her up tonight cant wait.
I know this has been beaten to death and I have searched alot. But still not quite sure.
I am looking to change the rubber to the goodyear silent armor on my new 2014 Black JKUR.
I do alot of highway driving but still want to be able to go offroad a bit. These seem like the best tire for me. I want to do this as soon as I pick it up to be able to sell the stock rubber for a good price. However I want to get the rugged ridge 17 x 9 satin black rim just not yet. I need to sell the rims off my old car and clear my garage before I get the new wheels.
I would like to go a little bit bigger than stock if possible.
So I have 2 questions.
Will the stock size tire 255/75/17 fit on the rugged ridge 17 x 9 rim and not look to small?
If not will the 285/70/17 be ok on the stock rubi rim.
I read that on the sticky it should fit but MAY have some issues. Just wondering if anyone has some real world experience.
Thanks in advance.
