Center tire wear

What causes the front tires to wear un- evenly in the center lugs? I just put on some new mud terrains and had an alignment done but the center lugs on the front of both are starting to wear un- evenly. What can I do?

sounds like your air pressure might be too high to me

it's at 35 psi, they are 32x11.5 bfg km2's. that's what the shop set them to when I had an alignment done what should they be?

The front and rear are 35 psi but the front tires are the only ones with a little uneven center wear.

Closer to 30 probably... do a chalk test or drive through some mud or snow or water and see where the contact patch is. You should have contact most the way across, but not all the way to the edges. -+ an inch or so.

What size wheels are you running them on? If your wheel is too narrow it will pinch the tire making it crown a down the center. Sometime an air pressure can fix this but if your wheels are really narrow running a lower pressure may not be enough and you may eventually want to upgrade to a wider wheel.

Sounds like they are starting to cup out, It's from having a bad alignment or it could also be tire pressures.

32x11.5 on 15x8 wheels. Just had the alignment done and got the print out, toe in should be good but I will measure it tonight just to make sure. So I should let some air out huh?

Also if they were over inflated wouldn't I see the same type of wear on the rear tires as well?

Probably the weight difference front to rear is why your not seeing the wear in the rear?

8" wide is the minimum width wheel recommended for your 32x11.50's. The wear, its probably a combination of your pressure and the wheel.

Hmmm, well the majority of the threads I read people are running 8" rims with 12.5" wide tires, so what do you guys do just let your tires wear un-evenly?

No, we just adjust the air pressure to accommodate the tire/wheel ratio...
