Question Decisions, Decisions.... Does 305/70R17 on AEV Pintlers extend past fender?

Sorry to create yet another tire thread, but I need help deciding tire size. I have JK 2DR stock set up now which is: 17x8.0 stock rims P245x75R17 tires. They measure 31.5" but more like 30.5" under the jeep.
I have 3.73 gears with 3" lift front and 2 " in rear. (Future plan involves winch and front bumper change) This is a daily driver and weekend wheeler. I have AEV Pintlers on order now. And need new shoes to go on them. My biggest problem is I have to keep the tire under the fender. Japan law requires the tire to be covered by the fender.

I plan on buying Good Year Duratracs but the size decision is where I am on the fence.
Size Width Height Weight Load Range
285/70R17 11.5" 33" 53lbs D (32" under the jeep?)
305/70R17 12.7" 34.4" 60lbs D (33+" under jeep?)

Is anyone running 305/70R17 with AEV wheels and no spacers? Pictures please (preferable from side and front showing if tire extends past fender). I think the 305/70R17 tire may stick out a small bit with the AEVs but from most pictures I have found can't be sure. Personally, I really want more axel clearance from the ground and think the best option would be the larger tire, but the more practical tire for daily driver may be the 285/70R17. I know the 285/70R17 will fit with no issues and may be better on the gears, drivetrain, mpg, etc.

Thanks!!!

315's are 12.5"wide and will either rub or stick out depending on the bs of your wheels....
We have them on -12mm offset XD Addicts and they stick out a good couple of inches probably. I'll snap a pic in a bit.

If I recall correctly, the Pintlers have a backspacing of 4.7". That will definitely put a 315 wide tire outside of your fender. Just for reference, here is my 4.5" backspace 16x8.5 wheels with 285/75/16 (specs same as 285/70/17). The Duratracs would protrude a bit further than my Falkens due to the sidewall tread of the DTs.

Thanks!! Looks like I will have to stick to the 285/70R17 for now. Then figure out how to extend my fenders if I ever go wider.

Tires are here... Now just waiting on rims!

I got all 5 of my new shoes delivered this week!! I went with 285/70R17 Duratracs. I canceled my Pintler order for AEV Savegre in Black and they were shipped a few days after my tires. Maybe they will be here next week!!

4 of 5 not bad....

As I suspected, I received my wheels today. Ok so I am missing one, but I am sure it will arrive soon. My ACE rails arrived 1 month apart.

I will get them mounted as soon as the last one arrives.

This is a nice set up. Are you running the Duratracs with any lift? Also.. those are the 285's? Duratracs do not come in 305's... dealing is telling me to go with the Kevlar MTR's but really want the Duratracs due to the high ratings and quite on road use. I currently have 285s BFG AT's.
