Does anybody have duratracs?

I have been looking for tires for the future and I have goodyear wrangler silent armor's on their now in a 30x9.5x15. The duratrac looks like its in between an AT and a MT and that is what I'm looking for. Does anybody have any comments on them or pics? I'm looking to do a BB and put 31x10.5x15's on it. Thanks

I don't have any experience with that tire, but I have been looking at it too. Goodyear claims its their Mud/Snow tire. I have also been looking at the MT/R but the Duratrac looks pretty decent for winter driving. It has a lot of sipeing in it and an aggressive tread pattern.

Yeah, I guess it would be between what I have now and the MTR in aggressiveness(is that a word?)

I bought these about 4 months ago. Love them. Smooth and quiet on the road, great handling off road. Took care of DW. DuraTrac 31 10.5 15

Hensman, I just noticed 2 things. one is that you drive the unlimited. A lift will not be required to run the 31's and 2, you live in Pleasanton. I lived there until 95. Beautiful place. Has it changed much?

I run 31's without a lift and I don't drive a unlimited. I have to really turn and be flexing to get some rubbing.

Wow, what a small world. I'm in the vintage hills area, but have a friend off of black and I go to Amador. I'll be a senior this year. Nothing has really changed except they are going to be putting an outdoor ice rink in by the library. idk if its just my jeep, but I rubbed the fenders flexing with my 30's and that was without disconnecting the sway bar.

That's got to be suspension issue. Do you have stock wheels and tires on it now? You can see by the pics that my unlimited has plenty of clearance with the 31's, so you got me on that one.

yeah, yours is looking good. I have 30x9.5x15 and I have soft 8's. I might just try to get some stock rubicon suspension or something and see if that will make a difference. My friend has a stock 99 sport and his is two inches taller all stock.

I put duratracs on my 2500hd worktruck. I really love these tires. I have 15000 on them and they are just as noisy as the bfg at's I had before. They do have a little more sidewall flex but I am also running approx. 9500lbs. I put the tires on my work truck so I could try them before I put them on my Jeep. IMO they are the best value going. These tires dip in sand, clean well in mud, and maintain good traction in wet weather. I have not had them in rock as I live in south Texas and we have no rocks.
