Duratrac Prices

Been looking to get some new rims and tires for my 2011 Sport

Looking at the standard 15” rims and the Wrangler Duratrac 33X12.5R15LT

Was looking at Discount Tires who get a great write up on here

However, their tire price seems very high compared to 4wd.com??

DT = $208 per tire
Tire Details - Discount Tire Direct

4WD.com = $164 per tire
https://www.4wd.com/Jeep-Tires-Jeep-...n=GDY312020027

That is a saving of $220 for 5 tires!!

I know I am new to the forums, but am I missing something here?

From what I can see, they are the same tires?

Is there something wrong with 4wd.com that I am not aware of?

Or is that just an excellent price?

Thanks

The tire deal @ 4wd is great but DT will match. I just bought mine and they price matched (if you include shipping). I went through my local DT so they could mount and balance and get the extra goodies with buying in the local store.

The only issue I had was they quoted me for 4 despite the fact I asked them 3 times to verify it was for 5. I did over the phone. My last tire and rim is coming in this week.

"The combo" is great so far. I got level 8 punch's as I thought they looked somewhat like AEV pintlers for a lot less (rims plus the savings on 15 Duratrac vs 17 Duratracs). It really changes the look of your Jeep.

I didnt even have my tires on for three hours when I saw someone drive around my Jeep, stop and check it out, pointing at the tires and rims.....

When i got my duratracs they were cheaper on tirerack.com but $20 per tire to ship so i called 4wd and they price matched and gave me free shipping. 4wd always has some sort of sale going on so maybe thats why there's such a price difference.

They may not offer free shipping, but they have voucher codes available to give you 5% (orders at $400+ or 10% ($1000+) off your order - depending upon size of order

So the tires with 5% off effectively give you free shipping

5 x Duratracs = $819.95
5% discount = $41
Shipping - $54.75

Total delivered = $833.70

Compared to DT at $1040................that is still $207 cheaper (though I am told DT will price match)

And also, dont forget your $60 mail in rebate, taking the 5 down to $770............which is a great price!

I just bought 5 Duratrac 315/70R17, 5 17x9 Ultra Type 164 black alloys, and 5 Tire pressure sensors. All mounted/balanced and delivered to my front door for $2543.15

The tire rebate will bring it under $2500.

From Tire Rack. Ordered this morning and they will be delivered Friday.

4wd has insane prices right now BUT you can't get the tires for weeks. They are all on back order. There are a couple threads on other forums of frustrated 4wd customers who went elsewhere when they were told their tires were on back order. DT WILL match (they did for me) 4wd's price but they might include shipping in the total.

I love the ride. Very quiet and stable. Everyone comments on the set-up.

I took the ad to a local tire shop who matched the price and included mounting and lifetime balance and rotation.

In case anyone is interested, I got 40,000 miles out of my first set and they weren't too bad when I replaced them. I wouldn't run anything but Duratracs. Awesome tires.
