duratrac size question

Hello - I think I want to go with 35"-ish tires with 18" soft 8 style wheels. Duratracs seem to be the tire of choice on this forum for 80/20 onroad/offroad use. People on this forum seem to refer to the 315 as a 35.

On tirerack.com, Duratrac's are not available as 315x18, only 295x18 and 325x18. So what are these sizes equivalent to? I think I read 1 post where someone said the 315's were actually 34.5" so is 325 a "true" 35" tire?

Also, is the width 12.5" on all of the DT variations? I'm not sure how to calculate the width based on the tire metric?

315 is a 17" size 325 is the basic equivalent and will be a 35" tire and get the job done. Should be a 325 75 18 or 325 65 18 I believe for the size you want. Guessing for a Sahara wheel? Didn't see any wheel spec on your post

@Farnham - thanks for the info.

I'll probably go with a Soft 8 style wheel like the Procomp 7069's in matte black.

Unfortunately, the Procomp 7069's don't seem to currently be available in 18".
