Ever bend a rim? [graphic images]

Proof that Baja dishes out the very worst in trail damage!

With all of these weights, the tire STILL didn't balance!

Hi Evan!
It was noticeable enough to cause my front end to wobble, leading me to replace my front track bar, tie rod ends, get an alignment, etc. I suspected the front tires, but they were round. Eventually, I found it was the wheels.

Hey Ken
So are you going to replace the rim? Or just wait till you get new tires.

My plan was to balance the tires - this didn't work.

I wanted to replace the two bent wheels - they were no longer produced, nor available - anywhere.

So, I ordered a new set (in late 2010) Black Rock D909 alloys. My handling has improved ever since.
