Feedback on AEV Pintlers /w 285/70/17 on Stock JKU

These are atop my list of new wheel/tire combos, but after reading the tire size thread, it doesn't look they'll fit on stock without causing any problems. I'm still a bit new to the language of tire and wheels, but from what I gather I'll need spacers due to the 4.7" BS on the Pintlers. If so, what size?

I was also looking into the TF Leveling Kit, and was wondering whether or not 285/70/17's would look awkward/small after installation and if I should go bigger...

Like I said, this is all still fairly new to me, and I want to think everything through before spending $$$ that could potentially create problem expenses. Any feedback on wheels is welcome too (as much as I like the Black AEV Pintlers $200+ each is a bit hefty) Thanks!

AEV P's look fantastic.Wallet takes a hit though.

33's will fit with those rims and 4.7 should be fine

Hi, I agree look awesome and are pricey. They are like rugged ridge - hubcentric and designed for the Wrangler!. My local dealer always has them on "new" AEV lifted wranglers. I would have went with them, but wanted something a little different. I just ordered Rugged Ridge black satin 17x9 wheel, I will post pics when they show up

The thread below has some excellent basic info on tire/wheel combos. Deals mostly with unlifted JK's, but it'll give you an idea about the relation between wheel backspacing and tire sizes (height as well as width).

Welcome to WF!
