Question Gloss or Matte black rims for all year use??????

I'm in a bind......Discount tire guy recommended that I get the teflon coated rims in black if I plan on keeping them on my Wrangler all year around. I really like the XD Hoss in gloss finish. I live in Chicago and obviously the winters get rough and with the salt it can cause damage to chrome but how does gloss or matte black hold up in winter???? Any input would be appreciated!!!!!

I would say flat. If you live in the snow belt I would change the spare tire out with the stock wheel and tire or just run it with out a spare.
I have noticed over the years it seams like the spare takes the brunt of the beating during winter.

Gloss paint is a harder/ more durable finish than flat... Keep a good cost of wax on them to protect them from the elements.

I believe that the salt and dirt will have a harder time clinging to the slicker surface of the gloss paint.
