good tires for AZ

I'm going to be spending the winter this yr out in Pheniox AZ and was wonderin what was a good tire to run out there with all those dam catus thorns. I got a stock Jeep and run the 30.5x9.5 now. but could go to 31x10.5. I have run the Liberator AT tires here in East Tennessee and for all arround they was OK. thanks.

Depends on how aggressive of a tire you want to run. BFG AT's are a good tire mainly for the road. they do however have a pretty weak sidewall. BFG KM/2's are their newer more aggressive but still very streetable tire. The new Goodyear MT/R's are climbing up on my opinion list. I've seen them in person and on a vehicle and they seem to be a better version from the older MT/R.

I've never had a problem with cactus thorns. Except when they stick onto my body... Jack will remember this... I had a cactus stuck on my jeans and I freaked and threw it and it stuck to Jacks arm. He had to use pliers to remove it!

But the rocks will cut a tire pretty easily and they are everywhere out here, even on the mild trails.

If I were looking for a radial tire for a jeep I would probably go with the new MT/R like Jack suggested or an interco trxus MT radial. I had the TRXUS in a 32" size and it held up great against the rocks. They don't balance as well as an MT/R though.

Definetely not a rock crawler tire but the BFG has been a good tire on and offroad and i have beat them pretty good, and not one flat or issue with them.

which of these km 2 tires do I want to run on a stock rubicon,
max size for stock?
original stock rubicon wheels for now, will change them up latter......

so ya just wondering if anyone who knows the max size I can put on this rig
wider than stock rubicon tires is ok for me too.
I am having problems with tire sizes, as you can tell
here is the chart for the bfg km 2 sizes

let me know which one I am after pls.. how does all this translate into a 30 or 32 or 33. I am at a loss
