honestly cheap and easy.

got a stock 4 banger 2000 tj and want bigger tires 35s to be exact. is it too much of a big deal to do 35s? should i just stick with 33s for cheap and easy bigger rig? oh just around town and maybe a little beach drivin.

depends on your axles, but yea it takes alot for 35s. cheapest was is to regear, get a d44 rear for sure, I would suggest a super kit in the front (rear as well if its a 35?) or a d44 from a rubi if u can get it? then regear both axles anyways. you need probably 3 inches of suspension or more, 2in body and trimmed/flat fenders, the right backspaced wheels for your 35s. probably a SYE and TW drive shaft. depending on how high the lift is. prob forgot something but thats a quick estimations. looking at 1600 for regears, maybe 1k for new axles (youll cut costs if you get axles already regeared) the tires and whiles will prolly be 1800 at least (new) suspension lift from 400 for a 3 inch, more for a higher lift prolly 800 lets guess. BL about 100. you will prolly need to align and all that, along with costs of gettin tires mounted will be 100 assume you need to get some other stuff that comes up, 100 bucks. 800 for SYE and TWDS. and 400 for fenders if u get em. so theres is 5 grand or so.

Whats your budget? it will ride fine with a new kit that includes shocks and springs, its replacing 11 year old parts man. as for 33s its pretty cheap to do if your axles are right and gears or right, or you can live with being a turd haha. you can get a BB and a 1.25 BL or 2 inch and run 33s for like 300-400 bucks. then tire and wheel cost.
