Im gonna get blasted for this...

Ok, bought the wheels today (thanks to so many of you). He could only access 4, so I said fine...I'll buy the other later. That got me to thinking, has anyone out there paid good coin to buy the nice, new wheels and tires only to buy a clunker wheel and cheap rubber for the spare? I mean I know it won't look as cool, but I was thinking about getting a spare tire cover anyway (I've gotta support my Houston Texans).

Thoughts? Anyone out there done this??

You can do it. Treadwright tires and some cheap steelies...you could even get a tire cover to hide it and people will think you have a matching spare.

Or no spare at all/tramp stamp. FYI You should not run a different diameter.

X2 I have a set of 5 33x12.50 DuraTracs right now an found a good deal on some 35x12.50 km1's but there were only 4 so I just plan on running no spare at all until its needed

I've got ProComp Alloy Polished rims on the ground and then have a black steel rim mounted to the tail for my spare. All the tires match but I didn't really care about the spare matching as the price for the rim was cheap.

MT imitation bead locks on 4 when I bought it 8 months ago, stock wheel as spare. I put the same tire on all 5. Dont care what it looks like, it's a spare.

I am getting rid of the MT's though in favor of some cheap steelies.
