Input/Advice on Call of Duty Rims

Hi all. I am a newbie here and I recently bought a '97 TJ as a project. This is the first Jeep I have ever owned and don't want to go too crazy.

The '97 has the 5x4.5 bolt pattern and my wheels are 225/75/17.

I am looking at the 2011 Call of Duty rims, but they have the 5x5 bolt pattern and the wheels are 255/75/17.

I know I need to buy the wheel adapters and they are 1.25".

Are the adapters all that I need? Do you think the call of duty wheels (225/75/17) will fit or do I need to lift it a bit based on what I currently have on(225/75/17)?

Any input is extremely appreciated.

It will fit. A little lift would be nice as there may be some rubbing when the wheel is fully turned.

So even though the adapters will take the wheels out 1.25" and the rims are .5" wider than the current, I only need adapters? I can put the adapters on myself, correct?

Do you think I should get the wheels aligned afterwards?

Thanks

I don't speak from first hand knowledge as I have a JKU, but from what I've read on this forum you should be fine with the adapters. If you can change a tire you can put them on yourself. A balancing and alignment will most likely be necessary and it will probably throw off speedometer a bit.
