So should I get the 2.5" RC lift without shocks and then buy some better shocks? (teraflex, rancho, or RCD?)

Northridge 4x4 (Dave) sold me the 2.5" Teraflex coil lift and Bilstein shocks. Somewhere in the $775 neighborhood. The local 4x4 shop said it was a very good price. It was great service and received the stuff in a couple days. Jeep turned out how I wanted it. I did not want it too high and wanted either 33" or 34" tires with no clearance issues. Went with 285/75/17s tires which required spacers.

Mine cost me 600$ installed, aligned and parts, but I got it for cost and discounts on labour cause the company I work for are the ones who did it

That was going to be my next question: would it sag with a new bumper and a winch?

I originally had a 2" lift all around. Had to replace the fronts with 2.5 Teraflex when I changed the bumper and added my winch. I lost about a half inch. Hated that nose down profile.

Did you pay someone to put the lift on or did you do it yourself?

I was going to try to find someone to help me because I do not know enough but ended up using a local 4x4 shop. They did a great job and know a lot about this stuff. Costs that I founf for an install were between $300-400. Install and alignment. The shop was samll but I spoke to them a few times and have seen the trucks & Jeeps they have done and was worth it to me because it's done right.

A spacer lift would have been less. But I have a coil lift.

You can do it yourself. You will need a helper. Just follow the instructions. Projectjk has a good write up with pictures for the Teraflex 2.5 spacer lift with shocks. The basic algorithm is the same if you decide to do springs instead of spacers.

I have the Bilstein shocks so do not know. I agree with damndirtydog on doing it yourself if you can find help. I could not do it alone.

And the 2.5" Teraflex spring lift fixed the nose down issue?
