Kelly Safari TSR or Hankook Dynapro MT?

Primarily a daily driver however I like the aggressive look of the mud terrain.

Any insight on either tire would be appreciated. Pricing is comparable so that's not a factor.

Thanks.

I'm running LT285/70R17Ds, they're 33". Rain? I'm in SoCal, so I haven't seen much before putting on the Hankooks. It was the siping and large tread blocks that had me interested in the Kellys in the first place. I had a similar Kelly tire years ago and loved them.

I ran the Kelly TSR's on a 07' Silverado, crew cab, 1500 and on a 07' Jeep Commander XK with a 2" lift. Both ran 265/70/17.
I put 10k or so on the TSR's on the Commander before trading it in. They were great in the snow.
(I used to live in NE Ohio)
I had 20k on the TSR's on the Chevrolet before selling it. I never had any issues with the tires. Although, I did not have them all that long.
Just my $.02

I'm on my second Wrangler and have run the Hankooks on both. These have done great both on road and off road, a lot of forest roads, desert trails and some tough trails. I have the 315/70R-17 on the JKUR and had 295/75R-16 on the LJ.

My 315s are on AEV Pintler wheels, so far so good. I'm not really a rock crawler but have done some interesting trails and traction has been no problem. I air down to 15 psi and that seems to work fine. I would not hesitate to take my Jeep on any trail because of tires.

If you are still wondering--I have had the Dynapro MT's for 15,000 + miles in every thing except high temperatures (Alaska), they are a great tire.
Not as noisy as you would think, and out standing off road traction, mud, sand, rocks, ice, snow whatever.
I had Cooper SST's good tire but stone bruises and cuts shortened their life considerably( and pricey as heck). and they size out at a true 35'' tire

Having owned the Kelly TSR and run them all over the South West US and a few of the big name trails up in NoCal. I would say go with the TSRs. Great on frwy, rain, snow, rocks and sand. Good enough in mud but not great. I no longer run them because of they are only a 2ply side wall and I was in constant fear of damaging them on rocks (which never happened by the way). I now run Mickey Thompson ATZ P3s (3ply sidewall) which like the TSR are a hybrid design. So far they are doing great.
