Kumho tires

Hey guys. I'm trying to do some research on tires. My plan is to get a 4.25" lift on 33's. I realize the main offroading tires that people get for their Wranglers are BFGs and Duratracs but I'm a college kid and those are looking too expensive.

I saw Kumho tires are much cheaper and have good overall reviews but I haven't heard much as far as how good they are for offroading.

My dad actually has a set of Kumhos on his Mercedes and he likes them, but again they aren't for offroading.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Hubby runs Kumho KL71's on the Rubi.... He loves them, they are a bit louder than my Duratracs, but they handle everything he throws at them off road and on, and have never left him stuck...

Cool, thanks. I definitely don't mind some noise on the roads. Do you also know how they perform in snow?

We haven't had much snow since we got them, but in the little we have had, they did fine. They are a bit slippier than my Duratracs in rain due to less siping, but we still considered them for the JKU when we upgrade it, tho' we ended up with Duratracs on it as well, due to getting an exceptional deal on them....

I have been seeing some really good deals on the DuraTracs that I must have missed before... And the Kumhos that I was looking at before were not the 71's so it makes more sense to go with the DuraTracs. From what I've seen you can't go wrong with them. Thanks for your input though!

KL 71 by Kumho Tires (Kumho Tires: Buy From TireVan | Get Mobile Installation definitely a good, inexpensive choice. You'll enjoy the ride quality and mud/snow traction that they offer. They can basically plow through most everything!
