Cool Need Help! 15x8 or 15x10?

Whats up fellas I am looking to place an order on a new set of wheels pretty soon. I have narrowed my choice down to some American Racing AR-23's. I am so undecided on what size I want to order. I have read that 15x8 are better for when you are looking to air down. However I like the wide look on 15x10s. I like how wheels look sticking out passed the flares and isnt an issue in Texas. I am running a 33x12.5x15 tire. My Jeep is my daily driver. And to be quiet honest I do not take my jeep off road much. If I do it would be on sand since we have a beach about an hour away. I have done some research and have found that either size weigh 25lbs. What do you guys think? My Jeep currently sits on Weld Rock Crushers (up for sale) and a 4" sky jacker lift.

If anyone has pics of a 15x10 wheel with 33x12.5x15 post pics!

15x8's and just get a different offset so they will stick out farther

Here is my rig
15x8 you say you don't go off road "much" then take about going on the beach. Having the ability to air down without the fear of slipping a bead is worth it!!! And if you ever decide to sell the wheels the 15x8 will sell a lot easier than the other option... And the way TX DOT plows your roads (or doesn't) in winter...you'll want that option for sure! I air down to 15-20# if we're getting bad weather here in CO and CO knows what a snow plow is and how to use it!

No snow down here where I am at. But you do have a very good point. Better safe than sorry. I have been doing some research on other threads and everyone is suggesting 15x8s! I might just end up going with that. That is what I am running right now. Should 3.75 back spacing stick out passed my fenders?

3.75 will definitely extend past your fender flares

I have ran both 8" & 10" rims sizes at low pressure and they both work just fine. Tires don't just fall off a 10" rim. In fact for your stated mostly sand driving a wider rim might work better as you may not have to air down as much as the tire tread will already be wider and help you float over the sand. Below is my old TJ on 35x12.50x15 with 10" wide rims and either 4.25 or 4.0 back spacing..note it was not sitting on stock axles..so take the over all stance as just a reference.

I finally just sold my MOTO METALS 17X10 RIMS with 295/78/17 Nitto trail grapples on my TJ.Lost a ton of $$ to get ride of the tall narrow modern look.If you go on the beach like me!Don't buy POLISHED RIMS for the salt! Chrome is more money but less maintenance.Keep them rinsed off of salt and polished.I just purchased 15x8 in chrome With 33x1250x15's DURATRAX.The 8'' rim with 3.75 backspace will give you a more aggressive look.I'll add a couple of photo's of the old look.Then when the new BEAUTIES get mounted i'll update.15X8'S in chrome are getting rare.I'm old school screw the BLAH BLACK LOOK.The replacement American racing looks very similar to the moto's but 15'' with a large tire is more BETTER.Trying to fill that rear wheelwell and wide flair in. It's all in what you want.

I ran 15x10 wheels on a 35/12.5 tire with no problems. The lowest I aired down to was 10 psi in the snow and did not pop the bead. You will be fine with a 15x10 on the beach, even if you have to air down a little.

make sure off set is negative 20 or higher to push the wheels out away from the Jeep
