How about this new tire. It's got some serious potential!!

I suspect it will be too heavy for the light weight crowd, but it will be massively durable for the guys that like to do rocks. Waiting for it to show up on the Cooper website so we can see some sizes. I do know it will be in the 295/70-17 size that isn't all that common.

This one will be a nice compliment to the already outstanding S/T Maxx.

No need to apologize. This is a pretty friendly forum unlike a couple of others run by egomaniacs. Well, one anyway.

Providing info is useful. I do think that some weights are understated but these tires also run a little small. I hear the 35 is more like 33.5 mounted so maybe they are correct in a way.

Well folks, I officially ordered a set of level 8 trackers to be covered with 315/70/17 Stt Pros. Shouldn't be too long before I have them on. Gonna put on some flatties at the same time.

Cool looking forward to some user feedback on these! Hope they work out for you.

lmbo. They are going to be bricks but it's what I hope they do on the trail that I'm looking forward to. Wheel / Tire combo had a UPS shipping weight of 93 lbs.
Once I get the flares and shoes on it's off to the gear shop.

How much do the rims weigh? Their listed weights are usually quite accurate. Also, it would be great to get some measurements when mounted on the Jeep. I put a ruler on the top and measure it that way and it gets very close. I was surprised to see the MTRs were slightly taller than the Duratracs and Toyos I measure last week. 34.4", 34.1", 34" on those specific ones.

I'll make sure to get a few more pics before I put them on. I did a quick measurement yesterday and as you see the tire it looks like it's right at 34.5 . Will add after install measurements etc.

I just put a set of these on my jeep in 31 10.50 15 after months of research and frustration. I am very impressed so far. The road noise isn't bad and I haven't had to put the jeep in 4 wheel drive even in thick 1ft deep slop. They clean out with very little wheel spin and they just keep digging. I am curious to see how they wear long term but they might be my favorite tire. They measure about 30.5

Just got 'em on yesterday along with the Bushwackers. Have only driven home so far so can't say how they ride, want to get past the honeymoon phase before I do. A few days driving my usual daily route will give a good comparison as far as on road.
These are 315/70/17s on Level 8 Trackers 8.5 wide with a 4.5 offset. Have a Teraflex Performance leveling kit.

Glad to see a few pix. The shop i've been working with for two weeks, has been unable to get 'em. I got them on line, and they are mounting them tomorrow.

Big :thumb: !!!

Okay, first impression after 2 trips on my usual work route so I can make a fair comparison to what I had. I was running Kenda Klever Mts. Stock diameter C load.
These are an E. They came to me at 36 psi and I left them there. Pretty much what I ran my old tires at.
I would say the Coopers soak up the little bumps that the smaller tires would "feel". On the bigger ones I'm going to say equal so far. Don't know if that will change if/when I lower the air pressure. I'm going to turn the Ranchos down a notch first.

In summary, not worse than what I had before so that's a plus in my book.
Oh, road noise is less that what I had but I wouldn't be surprised if it goes up. Have not really paid attention but less than 10 on the radio and you don't hear squat.
315/70/17 measures just a hair over 34 on the Jeep. Stock bumpers no winch no back seat.

Good to know they run at least 34" and are running smooth. My JKU is a bit heavier though. If I get these, I'll probably run them at 28-30 to start. I am still waiting a bit, just to see if anything else comes out since my MTRs have decent tread left.

Dropped my pressure to 32 today. Give it a couple days, probably break out the chalk over the weekend.
