New Guy Tire Wheel Question

Have a 2000 TJ that is totally stock that we tow behind our motorhome as we travel cross country.
We have done our share of off roading and are surprised at what a stocker can do off road.

I would like to change to a larger wheel and tire set but I am not sure what will fit without rubbing the stock set-up.

So I have two questions:

1) What is the largest size wheel and tire I can use on the stock suspension?

2) What is the largest size wheel and tire I can use with a 2" spacer on the springs with new shocks?

Thanks for helping out the old guy!

That all depends on the backspacing of the wheel. The wider the tire, the less backspacing needed. less backspacing pushes the tires away from the jeep so you don't rub on control arms and sway bar links. On stock wheels the widest you can go is 10.50 I believe and you may rub on the control arms at full lock, which can be fixed with a couple of spacers. You can also buy wheel spacers to push the tires away from the jeep, but I'm personally against them. I have 33x12.50x15 tires on my jeep with 3.75" of back spacing and clear everything.
