I just put 31's (I know there is big difference between my tires and yours) on my sons jeep and the spare. I had to remove the rubber bumpers on the tailgate and put spacers between the rear brake light bracket and the tire carrier. Post pics when you get everything installed!

With 35s which is also my choice I was told the stock tire carrier would not hold up, and the smittybuilt tire carrier was recommended. Looking forward to other more experienced members to chime in.

stock carrier will not hold up...i disagree with smittybilt being a recommendation, though...not a fan of a lot of their products. Plenty of other much better products to choose from, though you'll pay a bit more, you'll be a lot happier.

I just installed my Smittybilt spare tire carrier today and I'm satisfied. The fit and finish was fine.
