It seems the Duratrac is or is now available in 255/75/17, but it seems only in "P" size and not "LT" for this size? How important is that?

Evidently Goodyear listens to petitions. Nice!

It only took 6 months so if you request an LT version you'll get it just in time for Xmas.

The P-metric will have softer sidewalls which provide a softer ride but weaker sidewalls when airing down on rocks (if you do such things). The load carrying capacity is usually less so you can run lower pressures on the road. They are a better choice for those than don't drive off road frequently.

That's great to see, but are you able to get shipping from that site, or pick-up locally only?

Now it's time for Chrysler to stop falsely advertising that the Sports come with On/Off Road tires (which SR-As are NOT) and at least ship the Sport S with DuraTracs.

Thats Goodyears site and they can recommend a dealer near you. I did just get off the phone with Tire Rack and they are getting that size in tomorrow and selling for about $159. Plus i think starting next month if you buy four tires you get a $60 rebate from Goodyear.

Now I wish my SR-As were worn out lol

It would be nice if 4wd.com gets them. They're generally cheaper than TireRack.

I can confirm that tirerack does indeed have them...I placed an order for 5 of these beauties this AM. $159 seemed pretty reasonable too. Looking forward to getting these installed and some photos taken of my new rig.

Great! You may be the first on here to get that size. And definitely post pics and welcome to the site.

Got em mounted up today. All in all I'd say I'm pleased. No white letter side, but I was leaning toward the black out anyway. Much better ride than I had imagined. I think these will do!

Sweet! Gives the jeep a nice aggressive look without all the extras involved in lifting for bigger rubber.

Nice! Now I have the option of just getting new tires and keeping the stock wheels for now. and by just getting tires, this will be almost half of the cost of new wheels and tires. May be easier to convince the wife

Stanhope can you confirm that these have the Mountain/Snowflake symbol on the sidewall? I know the LT sized ones do, but not sure if the P sized ones like yours do? Thanks!

I'm probably getting these within a week on getting my Sport.

Also, pics from the front and back low angle to see the tread/look. Thanks!

So they measure right at 32" mounted up. The width is 10 1/2 ( including the sidewall dressing that duratrac is famous for ), but the tread width is only 8". If I had to complain I would say I was hoping for a little more squared shoulder but still very pleased with them.

Thanks everyone for the great info.......having just read through all these posts, I learned a ton. I need new tires for my 2010 Sport Unlimited, and was looking for guidance on the forum. Talk about timing! I read about the petition in the earlier post, went to the Goodyear sight and sent them and email, then kept reading and saw that the Duratracs are now available. We will see what Customer Relations sends back to me. (other than, look, dummy, we have them now!)

My SRA's have 47,300 miles on them and still have a little life. I live in Northern Illinois, this is my dd, and I drive 30 miles each way to work on more "rural" type roads and highways. So these have seen some ice and snow, in fact it is snowing here right now. I thought they performed well in years past in the snow, but this past winter, brutal as it was, the SRA's were showing their age.

I am looking forward to putting the Duratracs on, and seeing how next year goes.

Thanks again for all you collective knowledge!
