Looks like time for an upgrade. This tire looks ready for prime-time!

Anyone hear anything more about when these new BFG AT KO2's will be available?

I eared around September, but who knows. I wander how much they will improve in wet and light mud with the open side blocks tread

Those look awesome. I'm guessing BFG is looking to compete better against the Duratracs with that tread. I wish I could wait for tires until later this year. I'd have to give those some thought.

I recently went with the KM2. I liked the KO, except for they don't clean out well in muddy conditions and they chunk badly on rocky trails.

I'm interested to see the prices of these when they come out. They look pretty cool. A lot better and more modern than the originals, IMO.

I agree with the mud but having owned three sets of KM2s a couple of sets of KOs in the past, I'm not sure the KM2s are any tougher. Either way, I like both tires and look forward to the release of the KO2s.

I told my tire guy months ago to let me know as soon as he can get his hands on the new AT/KO2. He said this Fall...but the BFG guys at the Jeep Safari said probably next Spring. I'm not looking forward to another winter with the KM2s. They are absolutely horrible on ice and snow.

I heard on another forum - BajaNomad.com that the rollout will be in about, "two months." On another forum - JeepForum.com I heard that the larger sizes are already being produced.

Hummmmm......I'm a Duratrac guy but those look worthy of further investigation when they come on the mainstream market.

I like the tread but not crazy about the sidewall lugs. I'd prefer the old bfg mud terrain's knobby sidewalls.

The tread is the same. It's good but they hold gravel and mud. I currently have the old ones

The sidewall looks better. The original is time tested -- something like 15 or 17 years without a change. I have owned 2 sets of the originals and been happy. The Discount Tire guy I talked to made it sound like they would be out in the fall.

Only way I'm picking these up is in 37". Otherwise it will be KM2's in 37" to replace the Duratracs. Goodyear really screwed up by not making these in 37".

I wonder what the weight difference will be? My current 33s are about 51 pounds before the rim. 35s are 55 pounds.

New beefy side walls will add weight

If there is any difference it looks like they're just a bit closer to General Grabber AT2's with the center lugs being more "\/\" . Besides the obvious side "lugs"...can they even be considered lugs? lol

I went from the AT/KO to the KM2 - 35x12.5r15s. You do notice the weight difference, but it isn't very much. Your monotube shocks and lower gears will soak up the difference.

I'm sure they aren't louder than the KM2s I recently bought.

Try the General AT2. They rate really good in most catagories. Check out the surveys at Tirerack.com.

They look amazing! My favorite all around go to tire. So glad they didn't alter the field portion of the tread. Will buying a set for sure.
