Please help with Wheels for 09 JK

Hi all,

I currently have factory wheels on my 2009 JK Sahara. My tires are BF Goodrich LT 285/65 R 18
I have a rough country lift to raise it just a little but not too much.

I want new wheels and use the same tires as they are like new.
I am looking at the
Moto Metal Series MO951 Gloss Black Machined Wheel (18x9"/6x5.5")

But it says on the online order form they will not fit but not why. Bolt pattern? something else?

Could someone make some suggestions for a wheel similar and also help me figure out what exactly i need to order to fit?

thanks alot!!

to fit those exact tires, yes, you would need an 18 inch wheel.

however, if you want that 17 inch wheel, you can go with a tire that is sized at 285/70 R17
that is the same overall size as what you were looking at with the 18s

Would it be cheaper in long run to go with the 17 inch? Are 17 inch tires considerably cheaper? Are 17s more the norm?

How much overall height would i give up?

thanks

get which ever size wheel you want, assuming it comes with the correct bolt pattern. three cost between thee two sizes shouldn't be a huge issue.

As far as overall height, the size I suggested earlier is the same height and width as the other size you were looking at. So there would be no loss. Both sizes are a touch larger than stock

IT is because of your lug pattern or the offset.

I guess I need new lug nuts too since wheels are black and lugs will show?

1/2 x 20 thread size?

Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure I get it right.

thanks
