Quick Offset Question

Hi all, I know this has been beat to death, but I'm just looking for a quick response.
I'm getting ready to replace the factory 13' Sahara 18" wheels with some new 18x9 XD wheels. I have Toyo OC AT2 tires in the 285/75R18 variety. I'm running 1.5" spacers now, and have a 2.5" lift. I will eventually go to 295's I have a feeling.
The local Discount Tire is recommending I go with the +18 offset, and the other option is the -12. Any suggestions or input on this? I like how right now the tire sticks out just past the wheel well, but not too far.
It seems like most people go with the -12...any input would be appreciated.
Thanks in advance

18 x 9 w/-12 offset = 4.53 Backspacing
18 x 9 w/+18 offset = 5.71 Backspacing

From there, we know that WITHOUT your spacers, the 4.53" backspacing will make the tire be at about the same position relative to the fender as it is now, and that the 5.71" backspacing will bring it in towards the hub about 1.2".

So, if you like the look you have now, the -12 offset will be about the same. I would watch out that the +18 offset without your spacers might make that tire rub at full steering lock. More so with a 295.

Good Luck.

Thanks for that quick reference.. Makes perfect sense. I'm going to go with the -12, should be perfect
