Size question

I have some Goodyear ATs on my YJ, the size now is 235/75/R15. I want to buy new MTs, but I have a couple questions:

1. 235/75/R15 - what is the tire size info in inches? 29x9.5?
2. What tires I could fit on a stock YJ? There is no lift here now, I need new tires before I do anything with the suspension, but I'd like to put something a bit bigger.

I found some Hankook MTs, they look nice, have 3 year warranty, I read that are quiet on-road and good off-road, but the sizes are given in inches, not mm and I am lost

thats 29x9.

i think you can squeeze 30x 9.50s on there but im not sure. i had 31x10.50s with a small lift but theyd rub offroad.

id verify the max size you can squeeze with someone else though before i pulled the trigger. i ended up getting pissed at my 31's and sawzalled my fenders, so i wouldnt trust me on tire fitment, if i were you

Yeah, and the leaf springs are sagging a bit. They are the same that came with the jeep from the factory. 20 years is a long time for leaf springs.

30x9.50s if they fit would go nicely with a 2" lift on new springs. I am no rock crawler, but the extra clearance will come in handy.

I did the mistake of getting tires first then my lift. I went higher then my tires "looked" small.

just my .02
