Smaller width

I currently have 33x12.5 15 tires. Am I loosing anything by going down to a 11.5in or 10.5 tire. Also, If I do this should I go to a bigger rim? Looking at the km2's or Kuhmo tires. I do plan on taking them off road.

33-10.50-15 or 33-9.50-15 would be options, as would 255/85/16 if you wanted new rims. I don't think you'll be losing much (except in a small handful of very unique situations), but do think you'd be gaining some valuable benefits - less rolling resistance, the ability to keep your tires tucked in under your fender flares, the ability to cut through mud and snow better, etc.

I appreciate the input. I wanted to get more info before I spend $800-$1000 on tires and find out I made a mistake.
