Spare tire rack

Hey guys!

So I just put 33" tires on my jeep and want to buy the fifth one for the back to have a full size tire..what is this part that the tire place is telling me I need in order to make this work? I was told it was $40.
Can someone help me out with this??

No it's basically a converter so it can fit the bigger tire. I ordered one last night so lets hope it works

can you send me a link.

depending on ur backspacing, a rear tire with 33's will fit without any issues. the only issue u might have is that if you plan on using some sort of spacer for extension purposes, the added weight may damage the tailgate due to stress. Avoid this if possible.

If you use a 33" tire do you need to use a terra flex tire carrier?

I'd like to do a 33 with 20 rims!
No off roadin

I put 35's on my stock jku rack with no issue. I was going to get a new stronger rack to support the added weight- do you have any suggestions?

I bought an Aries Tire Relocation carrier from jeep4x4center.com. Basically it makes ur stock carrier stronger so that the bigger tire doesn't do any damage to your back gate. It was like $40 and super easy to put on!

I'm looking to run 35s. How exactly does this work, from the pictures it looks like you put a spacer between the tailgate and carrier. Wouldn't this leverage be worse? With 35s would it be a safer bet just to go with the teraflex carrier or are there other options?
