Speedometer off

I just got 35 inch tires I was wondering if that throws the speedometer off at all Cause I just got a ticket going 70 in a 55!!!!

Um, yeah. I assume you went from 31" tires (stock) to tires that probably measure around 34". That's almost 10% difference. So, whatever your speedometer says now, add 10% to that to get your true speed. And your odometer is off also.

If your tires were smaller than that stock, then obviously it's a bigger change.

You need the ProCal and/or a new speedo gear depending on your model year..

On my TJ, like the OP Rig, when I went to 33"s the GPS showed me off about 10% so going from a 28" -30" tire to a 35" I think would be more than 10%....and on TJ's it is easier to spend about $30 including shipping and handling and put the correct gear in for the tires and axle being ran.

Unfortunately, that won't work. They are locked to the vehicle when used. The original vehicle would need to be reset to stock for you to be able to use. it.

When its taken out is the dealer able to tell it was there? I'm assuming it will set tire sizes, shift points, as well as speedo, odometer, and tpms.
