My brand new Jeep Liberty has squeaked at 45-60 MPH since the day I bought it. It appears that it can only be heard while sitting in the driver's seat and can be heard at these speeds with and without braking. There is not any difference noted with turning, but usually do not turn going over 45 mph. Definitely not in front passenger seat and unsure about back seats. It seems like it could be coming from the front driver's side wheel. Other than the squeak, I do not notice any other problems. Took it back to the dealer and of course they did not hear it and after several hours of my time it still squeaks. I traded in a 16 year old explorer that did not squeak, but every time I did hear a noise my mechanic discovered a problem and fixed it. I bought a new car to avoid spending time at the mechanic. I have done some searching on the internet and the most frequent item that comes up is a wheel bearing problem. Is this possible with a brand new Jeep or any other suggestions? I will probably take it to my mechanic and spend the money for his time to at least look at it.
