Stock 2010 Sahara tires in snow

Has anyone ran the stock Bridgestone Dueler A/T's in the snow and ice yet? How well did they handle? Would it be wise to buy some chains for it (can't afford a completly new set of snow tires)? If so, which chains are good? Thanks in advance for the help.

I've had them on thru 2 winters and have had no problems. We had plenty of snow and ice in Kansas City last year and I was about the only one out playing around with the new snow fall last Christmas.

Not stock here, but wider is not necessarily better.

I have heard decent things about the Duelers. Check out the reviews on tirerack.com.

Thanks for the help. I am traveling from NorCal to Washington in a few weeks and don't want to slide off the road!

I have been driving on my stock X tires for 2 winters now up here in Canada. They are great, the jeep pretty much drives it's self in the snow. Just remember that you need to change the way you drive in the snow. Drive for the conditions and you will have no problems.

We are just going up for Christmas. However, I am from there. I grew up in Yakima.

In UK (heavy snow - would you believe !) I've got 255/70 R18s and have fitted Polar 16mm N480's to my 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited . Wasn't sure whether to fit to rear or front tyres as Jeep UK don't seem to want to help here. Anyway put them on the back and it all seems to work.

I'm sure they will be fine. Don't forget to post how the trip went for you. Inquiring 11 JKU Sahara owners want to know too!
