Switching from stock Canyon's to Cragar Soft 8's

Opinion...Currently running stock canyon's with 5.5" BS and 31x10.5 A/T tires.

Should I go with the 4.75" BS Cragar soft 8 or the 4" BS Cragar soft 8? Will the 4" of BS stick the tire too far out from under the jeep? Also keep in mind, I am currently running stock height.

Anyone have pics with similar set ups?

4.75 if you want close to stock as far as sticking out past the flairs and only if you don't want to go up to a 32 or 33 later... 4.00" will cover just about any tire size but sticks another 3/4" as well...

Stock Ravines which have the same BS as the Canyons with 31X105 AT

Soft 8s with 4in BS and 33x12.5 KM2s

You are talking about an inch and a half further out. If you plan to ever go up beyond a 31 I would recommend 4.

I can't afford everything at once so I'm wanting to get the wheels now....then raise it with a 2"BB, then once my current tires wear out, go to 32x11.5.

I'll be painting my hardtop black this weekend (currently tan). I think it will look much better being a dark blue jeep and having the black cragars and a black hardtop.

Thanks SpeedJunkie!!!

With the wider tires planned for the future....4'' bs....also leaves you open to different with tires as you get bigger later if you deside to. 12.5 wide and so on safely without fear of rubbing.

Ok, here's the thing....I'm stock now running 31x10.5's....never, ever rubbed at full turn or anything.
I'm about to pull the trigger on new cragar soft 8's...I'm just unsure exactly what backspacing I want. My tires look OK now on the canyons, I just want them to stick out a little more than what they do.
Tell me...4" back spaced cragars, with my 31's....will it look OK until I can get a 2" bb and 32x11.5's at a later date?
Sorry for sounding like a whiner...I'm just nervous because I consider my actions and decision on this jeep a "one time" deal....want to make it right the first time.

It will look fine.

If you wish I can show you a picture of my jeep a long time ago with a 2''bb and 31.10.5's with 15x8 wheels with 3.25 bs. To judge the distance it will stick out and look. Remember though the 3.25bs wheels will stick out farther than 4'' bs.

4'' bs is a good common with room to work.

Please share pics so I have an idea of what I'm embarking upon....I just got off the phone with summit racing and ordered (5) cragar soft 8's with 4" backspacing....4 chrome center caps, and 20 new chrome lug nuts.....$287 delivered to the door. Not bad for 5 wheels and some accessories.

x2...very nice rig.
I painted my flares a few months back....painted them in position...just used some index cards, masking tape, a little newspaper, and scuffed them up a little. Krylon Fusion, satin black.
My new project taking place this weekend is my hardtop....Krylon fusion, satin black.

Thanks! I am going to try Mother's Back to Black first and if that doesn't work I will pull them them off and paint them. When I went to the black wheels it made it more pronounced.
