Thinking about new rims and tires, but….

I don't need them, I want them.

I'm running 33 x 10.5 x 15 BFG Mud KM2's on 15 x 7 soft 8's or similar. They're in really good shape and have plenty of tread, but I want a more highway friendly tire. I have a 70 mile round trip to work at 65-70 mph. This isn't a DD, but I do take it at least once a week.

I've been looking at the Duratrac's 33 x 12.5 x 15's, but then I'd also have to buy wider rims. If I do this, my rim of choice is the American Racing Outlaw II, 15 x 8. So, I'm talking about $1300 with discounts out the door.

I guess my question is what are my current wheels and tires worth? I'm also open to other highway friendly (smoother ride) tires

Your old tires / wheels are worth as much as you can get for em.

The DT's are good DD and offroad tires, and excellent in the snow. Falkens and Hankooks are supposed to be good. There are others.

If you're not gonna spend all your $$ on your Jeep, what ARE you gonna spend it on? Bills? Food? I say, live in the dark, go hungry, and take pleasure in your Jeep's new shoes.
