tire ratio/fuel mileage

I have a tj with a 2.5 and I have had 235/75r15 on it and I have gotten 18-20 mpg. I needed new tires so I found a good deal on 32/11.5r15. But I have been getting only 15-16 mpg I want to get new tires because these are way out of balance also. I was thinking about getting interco's trxsus all terrains that are 29/10.5r15 (267/67r15) or firestone destination m/t that are 30/9.5r15 (241/79r15). But what ratio makes it so that I would be closer to get the fuel mileage that I got with the 235s. Im not good with figuring this stuff out. And I would greatly appreciate for some help. Thanks :-)

Did u change the speedo gear when u got bigger tires if not the speedo thinks u are going slower than u actually are so there fore the odometer is less than u have actually traveled so your gas mileage would look like it tanked

Your 235s were 29" tall. Taller, wider, heavier and aggressive tread pattern tires all reduce fuel economy.

Interco makes some outstanding tires that rugged and provide great traction off road but they would not be near the top of my list for fuel economy.
