Alright technically you can "fit" 33's under there. I will fix my previous statement.

With out having a ton of rubbing or trimming, you can only fit 31x10.5

No rubbing at all till I go offroad. Then I have a tendancy to stuff the wheelwells full.

To sum up this little argument and to answer the original question, You can go with the 31's with absolutely no rub and no need for mods. The larger you go, the more everything else will be offset (your mileage and your speedometer).

I'm going up to 265/75R16 with the goodyear duratracs the tires measure out at 31.7x10.50x16, kinda between the 31" and 32".

Also check the specifications on the tire brand and model, you'll find that there are differences in actual measurements, the Dick Cepek's Mud Country is an actual 32" diam. while the GY Duratrac is 31.7 (31-3/4") in diam. May be why one person can fit a 32x11.50x15 or 265/75R16, with out a lift, 'cause the tire of choice was actually less than 32".

Here is a perfect example of different ACTUAL sizes. The ProComp AT that I will probably get is 31 10.5 15 --- The tire diameter is only 30.2 inches. Pro Comp Radial All Terrain-RH2

The ProComp 32 11.5 15 ---- Is actually 30.7 diameter. Pro Comp Radial All Terrain-RH2

So--does that mean if I went up to the 32 11.5 15 at a 30.7 inch diameter that it would fit without rubbing on my stock 04 Unlimited?

I wouldn't think you'd have any rubbing issues with that size as long as you have the proper backspacing on your wheels since you're considering going to an 11.50 width. I have BFG T/A KO's that are 30x9.50x15 without a lift & absolutley no rubbing problems with Gamblers @ 5.5" backspacing. I would research the backspacing that you have to make sure.

Terry, I assumed "stock" meant on the stock wheels, not aftermarket wheels with much less offset like yours.

so see Pakman, it was good that brandon asked the question, 'else he wouldn't have gotten' all this good info. I do agree about absorbing as much pre-posted info as possible, but it never hurts to ask. & there are plenty of us willing to help. so ask away..
