Tire size vs wheel size?

Im somewhat knowledgeable on tire sizes. I currently have 33x12.5x15's and dont have a spare. A friend has a tire the same size but no rim. What size rim should I be looking for? Also I plan on going to a wider tire like a 13.5 or 14.5, would I have to buy new wheels? Thanks.

There's not enough info here to give a valid response. We would need to know what you have currently to tell you if something else will fit. 13.5-14.5 wide in 33"? Do they even make em that wide?

I know there is a 13.50 but I don't see the point of getting anything bigger than 12.50. To each his own.

Tire manufacture's recommend certain wheel width ranges for each tire size. (these are listed in the tires sizes and specs sheets) If you are looking to in a 13.50 or wider I'd recommend a 15x10. 15x9 would be good to but I don't think many wheel manufacture's build a 15x9.
