tire suggestions

i just ordered a 2" BB and some 15" wheels with 3.75 bs. Next step is the tires. I'm torn between 32s and 33s. My concerns are will i lose that much more power going with the 33s if i have the 4 banger? And will the 33s rub with that setup?

I have a 4 banger and 33x12.50s and i feel like i have enough power. But sure, i could use more power (everyone wants more power) but the first 3 gears are plenty torquey but as the progress through the gears it gets bogged down but i would prolly figure that.... hope that hepls a ll bit

I would personally go with a 32...

i've got a 3" suspension lift and still went with a 32 Falken Rocky Mountain ATS setup (also have a 2.5L)

I do have a lift. Its a 4 inch lift so i wouldnt know about the fitment of the 33's but in my opinion the 4 banger has enough power to pull the 33's

4" is plenty for 33s. If you do go that big I would definately regear.

What do you mean by "go that big"? As in the tire size? Or the lift?

the bigger tire size the less they fit the gears of your tranny that were based off your stock tire size, so it has less acceleration and people say you get a shorter tranny life

Oh, ok. I see but my jeep has good acceleration. Its not a sports car but its also no a dog either. It has some pep to it in the first three gears but forth is a doggy and fifth is like the dog died (but i think that cuz fifth is like a .83 gear or something like that in the transfer case). I am not the first owner so i have no idea what it has in it.

How would i check the gear ratio in the rearend??
