Tires too big?

Just bought my 2012 Rubicon a week ago. It came with Toyo 285/75/17 M/Ts on Ultra maverick wheels. Are these tires too tall to continue running stock? I know I will need a lift and some flat fender flares to help with clearance. But are the axles strong enough stock for those tires?

Thank you.
Bill

ur good for now. if you upgrade to 35's, and you wheel moderately...i would gusset the axle C's. you have a rubi so u have a d44 which is pretty beefy but whatever can break a d30 can break a d44. if you wheel moderately, you should look into sleeve's. dd/expedition type trails...ur setup can handle it as is.
