Recently many have been asking about these tires. Since they are basically new to the market, there has not been so many reviews on them on their performance offroad.
From my experience with them, they have been the most quietest, if not the quitest tires i have ever owned and they are my first a/t tire. My street tires from previous vehicles i owned in the past were much louder.
Appearance - its just a combination of beauty and strength. Aggressive tread pattern and broad shoulders.
Size/Weight...i'm gonna list the most current sizes the community uses as well as their lightest tire per size. There are 15' tires, but the 33's or even 35's aren't listed and i'm not sure if they make em in that size.
Warranty - 65k for the P rated, and 50k on LT.
LT285/75/16 E 52.9lbs
LT295/75/16 E 63.7lbs
LT305/70/16 E 67.9lbs
LT315/75/16 E 71.7lbs
P285/70/17 48lbs
LT285/70/17 E 50.5lbs
35x12.5 E 69.9lbs
LT285/75/18 E 65lbs
35x12.5/18 E 80.7lbs
Price - Of course pricing varies, but to give u a rundown of prices and perspectives for 285/70/17, duratracs are around 270, falken wild peaks 200, and toyo at2 220.
If you have toyo at2, please feel free to comment and add your own reviews.
Pictures do not do the tire any justice. It looks more bulky and aggressive in person.
What size are the tires in the pictures?
You can get the P285/70/17s for less than $180 a tire.
I have the P285/70/17 Open Country A/Ts for about a year now and they are great.

I have them in 285/75-16 and like them a lot. very smooth and quiet even tho they are e rated. Have been excellent in snow and ice. Anyone that thinks E rated tires are harsh has not tried these.
I've been stalking these tires for almost a month now. I haven't heard/read one bad thing about them. I'm fairly certain ill be pulling the trigger on a 285/75/18 tire. It's 34.8 inches in height and 11.5 inches wide. Just awaiting my tax returns along with the wife's permission. Lol
^yeah i've seen that several times. I like the video, however I try to stay away from those marketing style youtube videos. They do everything to try and catch your attention. I prefer real people giving reviews.
Which true, that's their intent. I've read a few pages of reviews. Tried to seek out jeep owners and only found a handful. However each one said they would buy the tire again. I caught mostly Toyota/dodge/ford pickups on the reviews.
The only person to say they wouldn't buy them again, never rotated them. Because he mentioned the right rear tire was worn out more than the rest.

^No kidding. Because I'm close with someone who runs a tire place. I'm probably just gonna have him change my oil and rotate them at the same time. Saves me some time. So I can play a round of golf and hit the trails on the weekend, rather than choose one over the other that day.
Does anyone have a pic of the 285/75/R18s? By the end of the week I'm pulling the trigger but I'd love to know how these look on a wrangler. I've google them and seen a couple examples but mostly pickups, I just want to avoid a pizza cutter look. Thanks guys.
Yeah, they really are.. when i saw it in a smaller size (32ish) on a toyota i was a little hesitant because I want some (beef) but nothing that's gonna be humming unbearably on the hwy
I really can't wait. Every morning I get my clothes from my laundry room and all I see are my spacers and tires just sitting there. Lift is finally arriving tomorrow.
Yes sir!!,
The lift I ordered over a month ago. The shocks I wanted were in back order :weak: my goal was to have it all done for my 5th year anniversary(memorial day)with the wifey, she said I could do it but its her gift to me.((ill take it))
There are three types of Toyo ATII'S, P, LT and Extreme. The Extreme series have larger side lugs and deeper tread. So if you want the more aggressive looking tire you have to order one of the Extreme sizes.
I just ordered myself the same tires in 35x12.50 for 18's. They'll be sitting around my place for a while too because the lift won't get installed until mid-June. Lol.
