Looking at the comparisons, the AT2's Extremes tread width is narrower and height lower by 1/2" though only 1lb lighter (35x20) than MT. MT has more tread so IMO looks more rugged. Guess I could try them out and dont like can return in 500 miles - I suspect I'd have to pay for mount/balancing of new tires.

MT/AT2
Weight ---------80/79
Height-----------35/34.5
Section width--13/12.5
Tread depth----21/16.8
Side ply----------3/2

yup mounting and balance included but they do have some stipulations on returning them and one being can not be used for off road use. I actually thought about trying the M/T's and then swapping for the AT2's if I did not like them but decided to stick with what I knew was going to be great.

You and me ought to be paid spokesmen for Toyo within the last couple weeks I have had two friends buy Toyos based on my experience with them and both are as pleased as I am with them.

^indeed! lol. A family member of mine which I took wheeling are considering these as well when his tires are done...about a month or two from now. My local tire shop which I frequent on a monthly basis (to give discounts to family/friends) are now stocking up on these as well.

. I want to see them too. Did you do any lift at all or are you just going with these 33s on stock wheels and suspension? I am having a hard time deciding between the 275-70 and 285-75 on aftermarket 18" wheels.

You could get away with the 33's but if you go hard you will get rubbing. Best bet is a budget boost if your unsure. Cheaper and easy 2-2.5 inches which will clear the 33's and even the 35's.

I'm looking to get some bushwhackers but this is what your looking at room wise when you flex with the 35's.

I have a 2" teraflex leveling kit and spidertrax 1.5" wheel spacers. Going to be mounted on stock wheels. Really wanted to go with the 285/75's but read to much about running 35's with the 3.21 gear.

Toyo Open Country AT2's cannot find

Can't locate to purchase (5) brand new Toyo Open Country AT2's in 35x12.50x17 E rated.

I have been checking everywhere on line….and my local 4wheel shop is on a waiting list for 12 tires.

Any suggestions on where I can order (5) my AEV 17" arrived a few nights ago and I am ready to get the a new set of tires mounted.

PM me if you know where I can order (5).

Thanks!

^my tires were backordered when I initially purchased them. Waited two days so it wasn't a big problem.

U can try craigslist and find many independent dealers. That's how I got mine and saved several hundred by paying cash in full.

I had the same problem, ended up going with a smaller size. 33 vs. 34

I decided to swap nearly new 17x35 MTs to the AT2 Extremes 20x35. I was very skeptical with mainly the look (have ran MT's since 2005 on other rigs), solid ride/handling and longetivity. What an improved difference! Super quite, very smooth and as others have posted, in person the tire looks much better than pics. Although the section width is smaller than MT, the tread width is 1" wider with a bold square shoulder.

Can someone get a real world "tread width measurement" and "width measurement at its widest point" from their 285/70 R17 P metric ATII? And if so can you tell me what size wheel it's mounted on? Thanks!

Curious on this before I pull the plug. My local shop will do all 5 mounted, balanced, etc OTD after taxes for $970.

Installed my 285/75r18 toyo open country at 2's. Installed measure exactly 34" tall, this is with a TF leveling kit and 1.5" wheel spacers. I have a 2.5" lift waiting to be installed. I do rub on the plastic air damn only at full turn... But I sure wouldn't do any trails as is. Spare won't fit on carrier either without a spacer or extension.

Seeing a lot of Cherokee's around here. Seems that the dealer can't keep them in stock or the factory can't build them fast enough.

Toyo's on your Trailhawk - Of course

Not to hijack the thread but I ran a set of these in 265 75 16 on a modded Duramax and got 52,000 miles out of them in load range E. Toyo makes great tires and if I could find them in the right size to run on my Crappy Duty I would run them on it.
