Treadwright guard dog MT - opinions/reviews?

Is anybody familiar with tread wright tires? Specifically the Guard Dog MT?

From what I have looked up, them seem to have some good reviews.

While I haven't used the Guard Dogs, I did use their 31x10.5x15s on my old ZJ. Not only one set, but two without any problems at all. I know a lot of people have opinions on re-treads, but no experience with them. They are in business for a reason and they know what they are doing and their service is really good. Once I get my new wheels, I am going to try these in the 315/70/17 size. The fact that they are now bead to bead is even better for us!

There are several posts about Tread wright in these forums. And most people that actually get them have enjoyed them. My major problem with them is less them being Retreads and more the cost. It used to be cheaper to get the retreads simple because they did not have to make the carcass. Now you can get a new set of All Terrains for about the same price. But again this is mostly my opinion.

Had them on my old YJ for 5-6 years without any issues and I'm currently running them on my LJ with no issues. I air them down on the trails and DD them on the highway without any issues. They've been on the LJ for 3 years and when I upgrade I'll be running their 35" guard dog. Budget doesn't allow me to get new MTR's.
They have a different higher pitch road noise that friends could tell when I was getting close to their house.

I've had mine on for about a year. They are 285/75/16 which is about a 33". Very good on rock when aired down to 12 lbs. No wear on them yet but they only have about 5000 miles. They have done well in the snow. Have not had much time yet in deep mud. They do drive well on the highway. Way less expensive than new tires and better on the environment.

I am very interested in retreads as well. I was going to get tread wright but they never have a matching set for my stock 30s. I did find another place though here in TN called tire recappers and they have some cool looking tires but don't know how good they are. But for the price difference I ended up finding the general grabber at2 for only about $20 more a tire with free shipping. I'm fixin to try retreads though for sure after I lift my jeep and run bigger tires. They use retreads all the time on commercial airline tires and big rigs so they should be alright. Retreads just get a bad rap most of the time. Main reason retreads kinda died out is because cheap asian tires came out and where real cheap, but now since even those tires go up in price there has been a real boom in retread sales.
