What can I put on 2001 TJ? i.e. 2007+ wheels?

New to the forum with our just purchased 2001 Wrangler Sahara. The tires are getting worn and if I have to spend the money I would like to use Craigslist to find some of the newer tires/wheels that people take off when they get new ones...like the Rubicon 2007 and newer tires/wheels that seem to be all over CL.

Question is, I believe I can put JK series on that have the 5x5 bolt pattern as long as I use something like the spidertrax adapters? Not sure if there are some size limitations but I do have a 2" bodylift.

Would appreciate some input for this ignorant question so that I can start the Craigslist Search for something that looks good!

Thank you very much

Yep you need adapters to go from your 5x4.5 lug pattern to the 5x5 wheels. The height of the tire and depth of the wheel are really your limiting factor. What size tire would you like to run on said wheels?
