What the biggest tire

Ok, I own a 2011 Unlimited with stock steel rims. I hope to be getting new rims and a lift when I have some extra money, but for right now I need new tires and want to fill some of that wheel well. What is the biggest tire I can mount on my stock 16 steel rims that will fill the well without any rubbing or complications?

255/85-16 is the tallest tire you can put on those stock steel wheels without rubbing. It's actually a fantastic size to run for multiple reasons.

My favorite quote from the press release.. sad but true: "Chrysler claims its products, especially the Jeeps, can handle all sorts of terrible conditions, churning through muddy swamps, climbing mountains, and crossing rivers. Turns out they cannot even handle a car wash."
