Wheel/Tire Fitting Question

I just purchased a 2013 Sport and i would like to replace the wheels and tires without making any modifications.
Would a Black Rock Yuma 908M 17" x 8" with a 255/75R17 tire be a good combination? I run 75% on and 25% off road, mostly sand and beach dunes in Texas.
I am not ready to add any lifts or spacers ... yet.

Thank you,

Maitre

Hi Maitre, I'm going to move this thread to the tire and wheel section. You'll likely get more responses there.

the 255/75/17 will be 32 in height and around 10 inches wide. You can one up in size by going to the famous 285/70/17 which will give you a lil bit over 32 in height and and inch wider which will be very noticeable...and best of all, no need for a lift.

Great, thank you. I will shoot for the 285/70/17 for sure. Would I need any spacers? Also, would the tire protrude out from the well?

the tire will stick out just a bit w/ a 4.5 backspacing. it will stick out just a bit, but it does give it a nice stance. no spacers needed if your upgrading your wheels w/ correct backspacing 4.5 or less...i'm not saying that 4.6 won't work, but 4.5 or less gives us the green light to upgrade. you can check out my setup from my profile pic or attached link.

Looked at 285 and found them a little too wide for what I need. I am opting for 16x8 Procomps with 265/75R16 Duratracs.
The wheels have a 4" BS and -11 mm offset.
What do you all think> Should this combination work OK without lifts and spacers? Should I expect any rubbing? Would they stick out a lot (negative for me)?
Thank you for your input.

Your gonna want the 285's. more wider since you initially claimed 25% offroad! You will not rub unless u go disconnected....even with the 265's. more wider... more contact patch, hence hence the 25% offroad life it will see.

It won't stick out as much. 4.5 will be mostly flushed with the stock fenders. The wider tires will make it stick out an inch, and no need for spacers.

Awesome. Thanks DWJKU. With the 16x8 in place 285s will be just a matter of time.
