wide tires,

Not just 12.50, but even wider. Has anyone ran some tires that are wider then 12.50 in 33's?

i am about to buy a set of 33X14.50 15's that have never been drivin on. im thinking about buying another set of rims just for these wheels. im thining aobut just 10 inch wide rims for the fact that i will not be using these tires on the highway. the main use of these tires would be for my firewood operation so wont tear up the ground as much with a 12.50

i might even need 12 inch wide, what backspacing am i looking at for those two sizes?

Soon to come mods: 4" full traction lift, 4.56 gears, 35X10.50R15 boggers, 35X12.50 cooper st tires, spooled rear end, and much more.

I run a 33x14.50x15 Swamper SSR on 15x10 steelies with 4" of backspacing at Badlands. I also run them in the winter to keep my polished wheels out of the salt.

I love them off road and on road they are OK. Remember, they are swampers. They hunt just a tad more on grooved roads, but nothing bad. I love the 10" wide wheel, they air down very nice. I thought about a 12" wide wheel, but thought I would try the 10's first and glad I did.

What tire are you considering?

A co-worker of mine has a set of 33X14.50 BFG MT's. They are the older style tread pattern. He wants 300 bucks for the set. He said that they were only mounted but never ran on the road. I'll see when I see them tho.
