Will my new tires and rims fit?

Hello All!

I am currently thinking about purchasing some new tires and rims. I currently have a 2005 Wrangler Unlimited that has 30x9.5 R15's on it. I am looking to purchase a set of 31x10.5 R15's. I want to make sure these will fit on my Jeep without having to put a lift in. I of course do not want the tires to rub at all. I've looked it over and think I will be fine but I would appreciate anyones input on this and i figured this would be the right place to ask.

Thank you to anyone who would know the answer to this!

Ive been lookng at tire setups a lot. The think the rubicons come stock with 31's and they seem to fit good (31x10.5x15) there are only a few popular sizes in american standard mesurments and these are generally all 15" wheels otherwise they are measured in metric sizes 245x75x16 the 245 is the mesurement from the edge of the bead up the side of the tire across the top of the tire (tread) and down the other sidewall to the bead of the tire were it touches the steel wheel again behind the tire were you cant see it on the jeep ..The 75 is a measurement in percentage of tallness the tire has been manufactured to.. a tire that reads 245x70x16 is somewhat shorter and wider than the 75 numbered tire and again the 16 is the wheel size. some older ford 250 trucks might use a 265x85x16 a tall skinny tire. some tires with the same mesurement do varry a bit in size. I have seen a lot of real jeeps in parking lots with all kinds of tires . my preference is probably the jeep liberty wheels with the 245x75x16 the offset keeps the wheel in the fenders better thain the 31's but they are a little smaller tire. you just got to look at a bunch of pictures , use Google Images. many jeep photos have specific data about tire setup. quadratrac jeep site has a tire height chart for comparing tire tallness under the heading learning center. I would tend to think with 31;s on my jeep might make me the first car in a long line of trafic over the mountain between north carolina and tennessee. I dont want to be that guy.. the 245's or the 30x9.5x15 good luck

To Bennett7

I read your post about your tire and wheel inquiry. I can tell you that I have an 02' TJ Sport. The suspension is stock, the wheels stock 15 x 7 with 225 75 15 Tires. Which is roughly 28" diameter.
I recently changed my wheels to 17"x 9 with a +12mm offset
Also I have 1.25" wheel adapter/spacer mounted behind the wheel
The new tires are 245 70 17 which is about 31.6" diameter and 10.5" wide.
I have NO rubbing whatsoever , even on hard turns. The new set-up fills the wheel well nicely. However, the tires do extend beyond the fender flares a few inches. Just an FYI, I hope this helps you or anyone.
Happy to Help
